How can we help?

Quick answers for account access, rim experiments, cloud backup, media, and coin purchases.

Frequently asked questions

What does Rimzu evaluate?

Rimzu reviews a close-up rim photo together with your recipe and technique notes. It highlights coverage gaps, clumps, and particles that may have fallen inside the glass, then recommends changing one craft variable for the next test.

How should I take the rim photo?

Use even light, keep the full rim visible, avoid strong reflections, and focus on the salt or sugar edge. A slightly angled close-up usually makes gaps and clumps easier to see.

Why does the next-step advice change only one variable?

Changing one item at a time—wetting range, particle blend, or coating technique—makes the retest easier to compare and helps identify what actually improved the result.

Can I compare two attempts of the same recipe?

Yes. Create a retest from an earlier trial, keep the recipe linked, and open Compare to review both photos, parameters, scores, issues, and tasting notes side by side.

Can I add tasting and fall-off notes later?

Yes. Open the saved trial card to add mouthfeel, flavor balance, particle fall-off, tags, ratings, and an optional voice note after serving.

How do filters work?

History can be filtered by drink, wetting liquid, salt-to-sugar ratio, tags, favorites, and other recorded properties. Clear the filters to return to the complete experiment archive.

How do coins and first-use-free tools work?

Each marked premium tool is free the first time it is used. Later uses consume the number of coins shown before confirmation. No coins are deducted when the balance is insufficient or the action does not complete.

Why is a purchase missing?

Wait for the App Store confirmation to finish and check your connection. If a completed transaction is not reflected, open the coin area and choose Restore Purchases. Consumable coins already spent cannot be restored by Apple.

What happens when I sign out or delete my account?

Signing out keeps the profile and experiment archive for the next login. Delete Account removes the profile, local experiment data, photos, notes, coin history, and the associated private cloud archive.

What should I do when cloud sync is pending?

Keep the local trial, reconnect to the internet, and choose Retry in My Lab. Do not delete the local record while its photo or voice note is still waiting to upload.

Can I use Rimzu without camera or microphone access?

Yes. Import a photo instead of using the camera, and type tasting notes instead of recording audio. Permission access can be changed later in iOS Settings.

Is AI feedback a guarantee?

No. Results are practical experiment guidance based on the submitted image and notes. Lighting, focus, glass shape, and hidden areas can affect detection, so review the marked photo before planning a retest.
